The short version

Three quick answers.

What makes it different?

One tablet, released slowly.

It's not something you chew or keep re-popping. One small tablet adheres inside your mouth and releases its four-plant blend gradually, designed to support fresh breath for up to 8 hours.

How it works

How do I use it?

Dry finger. Press. Done.

With a clean, dry finger, press the tablet onto your upper palate or inner cheek and hold it for 5-10 seconds. Then let it dissolve on its own.

See the 3 steps

What should I expect?

Mild taste. Hours, not minutes.

A light, clean feel rather than a mint blast. The tablet dissolves in about 1-2 hours, while the fresh-breath effect is designed to last up to 8. Finding your spot may take a couple of tries.

What to expect

Before you buy

The questions people ask before buying.

The three we hear most come first. Everything else is grouped the way people usually think it through.

Most asked

Does it address odor or just add a fresh flavor?

It's designed to work on odor itself, not to cover it with flavor.

The taste is deliberately mild and fades quickly, so the freshness isn't coming from a strong mint. Instead, the tablet releases its four-plant blend gradually as it dissolves. Published research on the formulation measured breath odor and sulfur-compound levels, not just how fresh it tasted.

Most asked

How do I get it to stick?

Keep everything dry.

Wash and dry your hands, lift one tablet out with a dry finger, then press it gently onto your palate or inner cheek and hold for 5-10 seconds. Moisture is the usual reason a tablet won't grip, so if one gets wet before you place it, use a fresh one.

See the 3 steps
Most asked

Will I feel it in my mouth?

Maybe briefly at first. Then most people forget it's there.

The tablet is small, thin and designed to be comfortable. If it feels unfamiliar, give it a few days; that's the most common comment we hear in the first week. Try not to move it around with your tongue. It works best left alone.

More on comfort

How it works

What exactly is ASPIRA?

A small breath-freshening tablet that sticks to the inside of your mouth. You press it onto your upper palate or inner cheek, where it adheres and dissolves slowly, releasing a patented combination of four plants as it goes. There's nothing to chew, rinse or carry around all day. ASPIRA is a cosmetic breath freshener, made in Israel by Tree of Life Pharma.

How is it different from gum or mints?

Gum and mints work while the flavor lasts, usually a matter of minutes. ASPIRA is designed to work gradually, over hours. Once it's placed, you don't chew, unwrap or reapply anything, and it stays out of sight. Instead of a strong burst of mint, you get a mild taste and a slow, steady release of its botanical blend.

What does "up to 8 hours" mean?

It describes the fresh-breath effect, not the tablet. The tablet itself generally dissolves within about 1-2 hours. The freshness it supports is designed to last up to 8 hours, depending on conditions of use. Eight hours is the upper end rather than a guarantee, and individual experience varies.

What evidence supports it?

The herbal formulation used in ASPIRA has been studied in published, peer-reviewed research. The main study was a randomized, placebo-controlled trial in 40 adults, published in the Journal of Breath Research in 2013. It found significantly lower breath odor scores and sulfur-compound levels than with a placebo tablet, measured the afternoon after use.

Using it comfortably

Where do I place the tablet?

On your upper palate or your inner cheek. On the palate, anywhere on the roof of your mouth works: center, side, front or back. On the cheek, place it between your cheek and gum. Both spots are recommended in the official user guide, so choose whichever feels most comfortable. It's fine to try both before you settle on one.

How do I get it to stick?Answered above ↑
What if it does not stick on my first try?

That's normal, and usually easy to fix. It can take two or three tries to find the spot that feels most comfortable. Check that your finger is completely dry, reposition the tablet if it slips at first, and try placing it a little further back. If you keep having trouble, email contact@aspira-breath.com and we'll help you get it right.

Will I feel it in my mouth?Answered above ↑
Can I talk, eat, and drink water while using it?

Yes. You can talk normally, and eat and drink while the tablet dissolves, water and coffee included. Just avoid two things: chewing or sucking the tablet like a mint, and chewing gum while it's in place, since gum can affect how well it adheres. Otherwise, go about your day.

What does it taste like?

Very mild: a light menthol-lemon note that fades quickly. It isn't sweet, overpowering or medicinal, and there's no mint burn. That's intentional, because ASPIRA is designed for gradual freshness rather than a strong burst of flavor. It contains no sugar and is sweetened with xylitol, mannitol and sucralose.

How long does the tablet take to dissolve?

Generally about 1-2 hours. Once placed, it dissolves slowly on its own, releasing its botanical blend as it goes. Let it dissolve fully, since chewing or moving it around can shorten the experience. If you ever need to remove it early, dab the area with a cotton swab moistened with a little olive or canola oil and it will loosen.

Expectations and routine

When would I use ASPIRA during my day?

Whenever you want freshness to last a while. Popular moments are in the morning after brushing, before long meetings, dinners or flights, and after coffee. Some people place one on waking for morning breath. You can use up to three tablets a day. There's no single right time; what helps most is choosing one that's easy to repeat.

Why make it part of a routine?

Because it turns fresh breath into one less thing to think about. Odor in the mouth builds up again through the day, so regular use tends to be more reliable than an occasional rescue. Tying ASPIRA to something you already do, like brushing, makes it easy to remember. Some people notice the effect right away; for others it becomes more noticeable after a few uses.

Does it replace brushing, flossing, or dental care?

No. ASPIRA is a cosmetic breath freshener that covers the hours between brushing, not a replacement for it. Keep brushing, flossing, cleaning your tongue and seeing your dentist. If bad breath persists despite good oral hygiene, see a dentist. It can come from things like gum health or dry mouth, and no breath product replaces that assessment.

What if I still have questions or trouble using it?

Email us at contact@aspira-breath.com and we'll help. It's especially worth writing if a tablet keeps slipping or you're unsure where to place it. You can also read the ASPIRA user guide, which includes placement illustrations, or browse our full FAQ.

Buying with confidence

How do I choose a kit?

Start with how often you expect to use it. There are three kits on the product page. The Starter Kit is the smallest and the simplest way to begin. The Ritual Kit is the most popular, and the Value Kit has the lowest price per day. Each one shows what's included, the price per day and the delivery schedule before you add it to your cart.

Can I make a one-time purchase?

Yes. Every kit is available as a one-time purchase, with no subscription and nothing to cancel later. It's a good way to try ASPIRA first. If it becomes part of your routine, you can choose Subscribe & Save on a later order instead.

How does the subscription work?

Subscribe & Save delivers your kit automatically, at a lower price than a one-time purchase. Deliveries arrive every 4, 7 or 10 weeks, depending on the kit you choose. You can pause, skip or cancel at any time from the Subscription section of your account. Just make your changes before your next order is processed.

Where can I check shipping and returns?

Our shipping policy and refund policy have the full details. In short: orders are usually processed within 1-3 business days, and US and UK deliveries typically arrive 2-6 business days after shipping. Damaged or defective items can be reported within 15 days of delivery. Opened products can't be returned for a change of mind.

How to use it

Three small steps. Then let it work.

Placement is the only skill involved, and it gets easy quickly. This is the method from the official ASPIRA user guide.

The step that matters most

Start with a clean, completely dry finger.

Wash and dry your hands, then lift one tablet out with a dry fingertip. Moisture stops the tablet from gripping, so if one gets wet before you place it, use a fresh one.

Place it on your upper palate or inner cheek.

Anywhere on the roof of your mouth, or between your cheek and gum. Choose whichever spot feels most comfortable to you.

Press gently and let it adhere.

Hold it in place for 5-10 seconds, then let go. It stays put on its own and dissolves slowly. No chewing, no sucking, no moving it around.

What's inside

Four familiar plants. One patented combination.

Most breath odor starts in the mouth, where bacteria produce sulfur compounds. A mint covers them with flavor for a few minutes. ASPIRA takes a slower route: the tablet adheres, dissolves gradually and releases its botanical blend into saliva over time.

Echinacea flowers, lavender, sage leaves and mastic resin arranged on a pale stone surface

Echinacea

A flowering plant widely used in herbal preparations.

Lavender

Brings a clean, fresh aroma to the blend.

Mastic Gum

A Mediterranean tree resin with a long history in oral care. Not chewing gum.

Salvia (Sage)

An aromatic herb with a fresh, lightly herbal note.

These four are the botanical blend, not the whole tablet. See the full ingredient list

Carbomer, Mannitol, Xylitol, Carrageenan, PVP, Flavor Lemon, Echinacea Purpurea Extract, Lavandula Angustifolia Flower, Salvia Officinalis Leaf, Pistacia Lentiscus, Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose, Menthol, Sucralose, Sodium Hyaluronate, Magnesium Stearate.

The research

Studied in published research, explained plainly.

The herbal formulation used in ASPIRA has been evaluated in peer-reviewed studies. In a randomized, placebo-controlled trial of 40 adults, published in the Journal of Breath Research in 2013, the herbal tablet significantly reduced breath odor scores and sulfur-compound levels compared with a placebo tablet. Measurements were taken the afternoon after use.

Read the clinical evidence
Cosmetic, not a drug

ASPIRA is a cosmetic breath freshener, listed with the FDA under MoCRA. The FDA doesn't approve cosmetics, and ASPIRA is not FDA approved.

The patent, honestly

The formula is covered by U.S. Patent No. 9,480,641 B2. A patent describes an invention. It isn't proof that something works; that's what the studies are for.

Your experience

Study results describe groups of people, not a promise for any one person. Individual experience varies.

Fitting it into real life

Built for the moments you can't step away from.

Once it's placed, there's nothing to chew, unwrap or top up, and nothing anyone can see. That's the practical appeal of one discreet tablet over a pocket full of mints.

A woman talking with two colleagues across a meeting table

Meetings and long workdays

Place one in the morning and get on with the agenda. No reaching for a mint halfway through a presentation.

Two people talking over dinner on a terrace at sunset

Dinners and social plans

Talk, eat and drink as usual. It stays out of sight, so the evening is about the people you're with.

A woman enjoying a coffee at a bright cafe table

Coffee, commutes and travel

Flights and busy days are exactly when reapplying anything gets awkward. One tablet, placed once, then on with your day.

There's no perfect moment to use it. The best one is whichever you'll repeat, like right after brushing in the morning.
